Doris Mufara walks with, and enjoys her relationship with Jesus Christ everyday. She loves to drink a lot of water and eat fruit and vegetables. She is learning to ride a bike, and to be disciplined on chocolate, biscuits and exercise.
Family: Having been married to Stern for the past 26 years, she is a mother to three daughters and one son, and is a grandmother to one little girl. She lives in a beautiful place called Ruwa, on the outskirts of Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. Aside from cooking and baking and taking care of her family, she enjoys prayer, reading and gardening.
Career: As a trained pastor and a teacher of the word of God, and having worked in ministry for more than a decade, as well as with the homeless and other vulnerable groups, she is extremely passionate about marriage and relationship, and believes she has been endowed with a God given ability to bring healing to broken hearts. She strongly believes in the flow of the supernatural power of God through word based prayer.
Why she writes: She is inspired by personal experiences. DARE – A Diary to My Grandchildren is inspired by her need to leave sound advice and counsel for her grandchildren and future generations. Her writings fall into basically two categories: (i) Books – both faith based and fictional and (ii) short teachings on her blog.
Daily Routine: Whether for a few minutes, or an hour or two, she loves to start off with prayer first thing in the morning. After seeing her family off to work and school, she sits at her computer to write for at least 2 hours. She loves to study the word and is an avid reader.
